“I wanted to open a boutique shop that would make a splash...”

In 2019, I made the decision to close Branford’s Towne Pharmacy after being part of the family business for 52 years. It was a difficult decision, and the minute I closed the doors for the last time, I realized how much I would miss the community.

I missed the retail environment, my customers, and most importantly, I missed the day-to-day interactions that I’d grown so accustomed to over the course of my 37-year career.

So, I decided to open a gift shop, but not an ordinary gift shop. I wanted to open a “boutique” shop and offer an eclectic mix of clothing, accessories, home decor, children’s items, and unique gifts.  I also wanted to “make a splash” on Branford’s Main Street… and in my second career. Thus, Splash Boutique was born!
